Bliss Revisited
63Before I knew it I was being informed that I had 100 followers and I believe now +at least 1. Time flies in the Hubpage community and I am honored being followed by all of you. Having reached this statuss I’ll say that my little bliss poem may have been cuteness itself so I’ll leave the chipmunk to continue his dance of joy but will offer you a more poignant poem about the state of bliss.
In this world of ours
Often in the dark hours
Thoughts run rampant through our minds
And we sigh and close our eyes
To remember where we left bliss behind
I see sun and smell the scent of pine
Wafting on in the hot summer sun
Scenes from my childhood days
When living was easy and dreams were simple
The bliss a child feels
Running free and wild
In the summers spent under the Catskill pines
Deep, deep down I rummage
In my memory cupboard
My heart joyfully leaping
With the next image
Knowing the joy of being truly loved
Country walks and quiet talks
Dad and I at two
Who knew he’d be so tall
That summer we had it all
Raft rides, ice cream cones and more
Pictures racing through my mind
Of mom and friends now long gone
But never far
Just there beyond reach among the stars
Of things that were once so fine
When the time came to put chilhood behind
And teen and adulthood struggles began
I soon discovered a new found bliss
Which I’ll never have to miss
Because it will always be with me
That wonderful joy
Of finding the Lord
And knowing that through the rest of my life
In happiness and sorrow
He’ll be walking by my side
As suns rise and suns set
All of my days till the end of time
I’ll have some bliss each day
Because the Lord is mine
God bless and thank you – I’m looking forward to each and every one of your new hubs.

It's a great pleasure because you don't just receive , you find that precious time to share and give making it a joy , But to know the greatest joy of it all , and that true bliss , we all receive from our creator, the Most High God.
It's yours to hold and keep the forever happiness he gives, the insurmountable knowledge we receive it's ours forever, you say bliss, and bliss it is .
Be Bless and stay well
Give thanks.
To my dear friend from Latvia. You have always been a supporter of mine, and I hope I have returned the friendship. I've loved reading your work. Love

Take care my dear friend and enjoy your day.
Eddy.
Hi Gypsy. Memories are a great comfort. All you have to do is close your eyes, and you are there. You speak of pleasant ones. "County walks and quite talks." Love that line. Then the newfound bliss of knowing the Lord. Gypsy, you know the secret of a blessed life.
I'm voting beautiful.
Congrats on your followers milestone, Gypsy Rose, and thanks for another beautiful poem! Voted up, beautiful, and awesome!
I absolutely love this poem. It is deep and profound yet skips along quickly with a wonderful rhythm. You wrote so many lovely lines, such as:
"The bliss a child feels
Running free and wild"
Yes, I remember.
And:
"Deep, deep down I rummage
In my memory cupboard"
Don't we now?! I love the picture that this conjures.
And this beautiful thought:
"Knowing the joy of being truly loved"
But I dare say you saved the best for last—as the best poets do.
"That wonderful joy
Of finding the Lord
And knowing that through the rest of my life
In happiness and sorrow
He’ll be walking by my side
As suns rise and suns set
All of my days till the end of time
I’ll have some bliss each day
Because the Lord is mine"
Sorry to repeat your own words back at you. But they are truly delectable. I am terribly impressed! Thank you. And God Bless You.
Nice and thank you for sharing - smile!
Thank you for opening that memory cupboard and sharing snippets of its contents. These precious images in words are priceless and it was indeed a time when "living was easy and dreams were simple"
